Appointment of Non Executive Directors

We have been instrumental in advising a number of clients in the appointment of Non Executive Directors. The key feature in all these appointments has been our role in scoping the requirements, identifying skill gaps for particular needs on the board, often to develop the work of the Audit Committee in the case of listed companies. We have then gone out into the market place to find the most appropriate candidates, mindful of the cultural fit of the organisation and the individuals on its board.

We believe strongly that non executive appointments should not just represent a ‘box ticking’ and/or compliance role, but for many companies and organisations it represents an opportunity to attract high calibre individuals who can bring specialist skills, networks of contacts and commercial judgement to their organisation.
